Technical FAQ

How does Robin View work?

Before you can import a file, your patient must provide you with the data. In the app menu there is a new function "Share my data", through this function the patient data can be shared with the therapist.

Once the person has shared their data with you, you will receive an email. Attached is a file that you can import into Robin View. To do this, download the file and drag and drop it into the Robin View software. After that you will be asked to decrypt the file. Use the password that your patient will give you at the next session.

Your patient can choose a nickname, but you as a therapist have the possibility to assign a name to your patient. Once a file from the same device is assigned to a person, Robin View will recognize this person the next time.

What are the system requirements for Robin View?

Windows or MacOS operating system.

In order for the young person to send you his data he must have Robin Z App version 2.2.0 (or higher) installed.

How is the Robin View software protected from third party access?

The Robin View application is password protected (code with at least 6 characters). You have to log in for each use.

All data is protected by the operating system from access by other software. Robin View does not send data to the Internet and does not store data outside its directory.

Patients send their data encrypted via the app Robin Z. Afterwards they receive an email from technicrobin@kjpd.uzh.ch with the encrypted data. This encrypted data can then be decrypted and displayed graphically with Robin View.  Decryption of this data without the Robin View program is not possible. The decryption of the data is further only possible with the respective password of the patient. In order to ensure data protection, passwords should only be passed on verbally, not via email.
